LAKE CITY, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's golf team is back on the links this weekend, heading to The Jewel to take part in the 36-hole D3 Classic, hosted by Carleton College.

Madison Gately (Glenview, Ill.) and
Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) swapped places for the Cardinals during the final round of the D3 Classic at The Jewel. In the opening round of the two-day tournament, Gately carded a team-best 92, while Kling was second with a 94. In the second round, it was Kling leading the Cardinal charge, shooting an 88, with Gately close behind with a 93, as the duo helped Saint Mary's to a 14th-place showing in the 36-hole event |

Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) carded her second collegiate round in the 70s last Sunday, shooting a seven-over-par 79 during the second round of the Wartburg Invitational. … Kling opened the tourney with a 91 for a two-day, team-best 170 36-hole total. … Kling recorded a career-best round of five-over-par 77 during the first day of the Saint Benedict Invitational on Sept. 3. Kling's career-best effort was just three shots shy of the school record 74 shot by Andrea Hanke at the Luther Invitational during the 2004 season. … With her second-day round of 79, Kling has now shot 88 or better in 13 of her last 15 competitive rounds. …
