ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota fastpitch softball team is back in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday, as the Cardinals travel to St. Thomas for a doubleheader against nationally ranked Tommies. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.

• Saint Mary's—April 5, 2017 * Winona, Minn.: Saint Mary's almost picked up their first two wins of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season against Bethel. Almost. Unfortunately for coach Jen Miller, Mother Nature had to throw in her two cents worth. The Cardinals picked up conference win No. 1 in their opening game against Bethel at the Saint Mary's Field—posting a 6-4 victory—and pulled even with the Royals 3-3 with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning in the nightcap.
