ORLANDO, Fla. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's tennis team steps out of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play for a pair of spring trip matches, squaring off against Hanover on Tuesday and Adrian on Wednesday.

• Hanover heads into spring-break play having dropped two straight and five of its first six. … The Panthers snapped a season-opening three-match losing streak with a 7-2 victory over Belhaven on Feb. 17. … Two of Hanover's five losses have been 9-0 sweeps, while two others were 6-3 decisions. The Panthers also dropped a 5-4 matchup against Bellamine. … Dakota Smith owns a team-high three singles wins, one more than Brent Barrett, Alec Bates, Landon Carrico, and Mitchell Minniear. … The Panthers have gone a team-best 4-2 at No. 5 singles, while going 2-4 at Nos. 1, 3, and 4, and posting 1-5 marks at Nos. 2 and 6. … The No. 3 doubles team of Carrico and Mitchell Minniear have won three of their last four matches—including an 8-3 win in their most recent victory against Covenant.
