LAKE CITY, Minn.  — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's golf team closes out the spring portion of its schedule Sunday, traveling to The Jewel to take part in the 18-hole Saint Mary's Invitational.

• Jessica Massimo (Kenosha, Wis.), who led the way for the Cardinals at the 2018 MIAC Championships, carding rounds of 97-100-91—288, picked up right where she left off in the spring portion of the schedule, carding back-to-back 92s at the Wartburg Spring Invitational on April 13-14. … Massimo heads into the Saint Mary's Invitational having carded the team's low round in 11 of their 14 competitive rounds. … Massimo enters the weekend boasting a team-leading 91.86 scoring average. … Massimo opened her collegiate career with an 89 at the Mac/Mary Dual on Aug. 31, and followed that up with rounds of 88 and 86 at the 36-hole Saint Benedict Invitational on Sept. 1-2. … Michaela Heuckendorf (Plymouth, Minn. / 100.00 avg.) posted a team- and career-best round of 83 at the 2018 MIAC Championships, six shots better than her previous career low. … Megan Larson (Galesville, Wis. / 102.11 avg.) — who posted rounds of 118-100 at the Wartburg Spring Invitational — carded a career-best 93 during the second round of the Wartburg Fall Invitational on Sept. 9. … Annika Blesener (North St. Paul, Minn.) delivered rounds of 105-106 at Wartburg and heads into this weekend with a 105.42 scoring average. … Saint Mary's posted its low score of the season during the third round of the 2018 MIAC Championships, posting a 373, four shots better than the second-round 377 the Cardinals shot at the Wartburg Fall Invitational.
