LAKE CITY, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's golf team closed out the spring portion of its schedule on Sunday, placing fifth in the Saint Mary's Invitational at The Jewel.
UW-Stout — behind Marie Allo's medalist scored of five-over-par 77 — took home the team title with a 333 total, easily outdistancing runner-up Macalester (349). UW-La Crosse finished third (362), followed by St. Scholastica (403, Saint Mary's (429) and UW-Superior (447).
Annika Blesener (North St. Paul, Minn.) led the way for the Cardinals, shooting a 103, one shot better than
Jessica Massimo (Kenosha, Wis.), while
Dani Stevens (Delano, Minn. / 109) and
Megan Larson (Galesville, Wis. / 113) rounded out the Cardinals' lineup.
Macalester's Izzy Hebert placed second to Allo with an 82, whiel UW-Stout's Trystin Kluess was third with an 83, and teammate Madison McCambridge and UW-La Crosse's Hannah Ottevaere adding 84s to round out the top five.
