DECORAH, Iowa — The Saint Mary's University women's golf team is back in action this weekend, as the Cardinals travel to Oneota Golf Course to take part in the 36-hole Luther Invitational.
 
The Luther Invitational Field:
• UW-La Crosse, St. Scholastica, UW-Superior, Saint Mary's, Luther (2 teams), Loras, Coe. Loras and Coe will not field full teams
 
Saint Mary's Last Action:

• For the third tournament in a row, Jessica Massimo (Kenosha, Wis.) turned in the Cardinals' best 36-hole performance last weekend at the Saint Mary's Invitational. Massimo opened with a 95 last Saturday and followed that up with a career-best 84 for a 179 total. … Madyson Ulrey (North Manchester, Ind.) was second to Massimo for the Cardinals, shooting rounds of 97-99 to post a 196 total. Celeste Van Klein (Lake City, Minn.) added back-to-back 100s, with Dani Stevens (Delano, Minn. / 111-106—217) and Cassie Sepp (Duluth / 107-115—222) rounding out the Cardinals' lineup. … Massimo's 84 during the second round of the Saint Mary's Invitational was two shots better than her previous-best round of 86, posted during the second round of the Saint Benedict Invitational on Sept. 2, 2018. … Van Klein shot the low round of the tournament for the Cardinals at the Twin Ports Challenge on Aug. 31, shooting a career-low 87 during the second round. … Massimo heads into this weekend's Luther Invitational with a team-leading 91.00 scoring average, followed by Van Klein (96.83) and Ulrey (99.17). … As a team, Saint Mary's posted a season-best 364 during the second round of the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 31.
