  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
In their first road meet of the season, the Cardinals record 19 Top 5 performances — including four event winners — at the Saint John's Invitational on April 2. … Jon Meaden (Rosemount, Minn.), Rachel Ohde (Chetek, Wis.), Caroline Gearin (Osceola, Wis.), and Anna Swanson (Osceola, Wis.) all posted first-place finishes at the SJU Invitational. Meaden delivered a time of 4:06.73 in winning the men's 1,500, while Ohde cleared 1.57 meters to claim the  women's high jump crown, Gearin stopped the clock in 1:01.20 to win the 400, and Swanson uncorked a toss of 37.92 to win the javelin. … Along with the winning performances by Ohde, Gearin, and Swanson, the Cardinal women also got a second-place leap of 5.20 meters in the long jump by Sydney Klausler (Lakeville, Minn.) and a third-place time of 5:11.07 from Amanda Tuvey (West St. Paul, Minn.) in the 1,500 at the SJU Invitational. … Sean Curran (Appleton, Wis.) and Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.) delivered third-place showings in the hammer throw (44.20m) and javelin (44.20m), respectively. … The Cardinals put together 16 first-place finishes in the rain-plagued Masked Mayhem Opener on March 27 at the Saint Mary's Track & Field Complex, led by Matt Boone (Mindoro, Wis.), who posted his second straight first-place triple — winning the 100 prelims, 100 finals, and 200. Anna Swanson (Osecola, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinal women at the Masked Mayhem Opener on March 27, posting three first-place efforts — winning the 800, the javelin, and running the anchor leg of the Cardinals' winning 4x400 relay. … In their only indoor meet of the 2021 season, the Cardinals collected a combined 15 first-place finishes — including three by Boone.
