  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
Saturday's Drake Alternative is the first of back-to-back home meets for the Cardinals, who have competed on the road each of the last three weeks. … The Cardinals recorded 10 first-place finishes and posted 31 Top 5 performances at the non-team-scored Hamline Invitational last Saturday. … Matt Boone (Mindoro, Minn.) breezed to back-to-back victories in both the 100 (10.85) and 200 (22.02) at last Saturday's HU Invitational. Jon Meaden (Rosemount, Minn.) added a first in the 800 (1:58.95), while Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.) delivered a leap of 6.72 meters to win the long jump, Coleton Strupp (Holmen, Wis.) cleared 4.40 meters to win the pole vault, and the 4x100 relay team won with a time of 41.64. … On the women's side at last Saturday's Hamline Invitational, Amanda Tuvey (West St. Paul, Minn.) posted a time of 12:26.56 to win the steeplechase and Emma Ririe (Darien, Ill.) topped the field in the 5,000 with a time of 20:54.24. Rachel Ohde (Chetek, Wis.) picked up her first place in the high jump, clearing 1.60 meters, and Sydney Klausler (Lakeville, Minn.) uncorked a leap of 5.31 meters to win the long jump. … In their second road meet of the season, the Cardinals posted a combined 10 first-place finishes — including a pair of individual titles and a relay title for Boone — and boasted 21 Top 3 performances at the Gustavus Lee Krough Invitational on April 10. … The Cardinals recorded 19 Top 5 performances — including four event winners — at the Saint John's Invitational on April 2. … The Cardinals put together 16 first-place finishes in the rain-plagued Masked Mayhem Opener on March 27 at the Saint Mary's Track & Field Complex, led by Boone, who posted his second straight first-place triple — winning the 100 prelims, 100 finals, and 200. Anna Swanson (Osceola, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinal women at the Masked Mayhem Opener on March 27, posting three first-place efforts — winning the 800, the javelin, and running the anchor leg of the Cardinals' winning 4x400 relay. … In their only indoor meet of the 2021 season, the Cardinals collected a combined 15 first-place finishes — including three by Boone.
