"The ladies played really well," said Saint Mary's coach
Jeff Halberg. "It was just a solid performance — and a solid week — all the way around."
Saint Mary's got off to a quick start, winning all three doubles matches to grab an early 3-0 lead.
Kennedy Morgan (Green Bay, Wis.),
Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.),
Emily Henderson(Jordan, Minn.), and
Ashley Renwick (Farmington, Minn.) picked up straight-set singles wins, while
Natalie Peterson rallied from a set down to record a 6-7 (3), 7-5, 10-2 win at No. 1 singles.
The Cardinals, who have won two straight and four of their first five, are back in action next Saturday, hosting Saint Benedict (12:30) and Bethany Lutheran (6:30) in a pair of matches at the Winona Tennis Center.
