Aidan Gatz (Elburn, Ill.) cleared 4.53 meters to win the indoor conference title in the pole vault — in his first-ever MIAC appearance — while Anna Swanson (Osceola, Wis.) defended her conference crown in the javelin and Sean Curran (Appleton, Wis.) picked up his first conference title in the weight throw.
• 11: The Cardinals delivered a combined 11 First-Team All-MIAC performances and the conference’s indoor and outdoor championships in 2022. • Anna Swanson (Osceola, Wis.) — an NCAA All-American in the javelin in 2021 — kicked off her 2022 outdoor season in impressive fashion, placing 11th at the prestigious Texas Relays, hosted by the University of Texas on March 24 in Austin, Texas. The only NCAA Division III competitor, Swanson uncorked a toss of 42.99 meters en route to her 11th-place showing.
