• 1-0: The Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team played its fifth game decided by a 1-0 decision — and second in as many days — beating UW-Stout 1-0 last Sunday.
• 2: Ciarra McNally (Lewiston, Minn.) and Faith VanErp (Sartell, Minn.) each had double-doubles — twice— last week. McNally tallied 14 kills and 14 digs, while VanErp finished with 47 assists and 11 digs against Buena Vista on Tuesday, while VanErp finished with.45 assists and 18 digs, and McNally added a 23-kill, 12-dig effort against Central-Iowa four days later.
• 2: McKenzie Munson (Plain City, Utah) stopped both shots she faced in recording her second shutout in as many collegiate starts in the SMU women’s soccer team’s 1-0 win over UW-Stout Sunday afternoon.
• 3: Jack Hurley (Homewood, Ill.) converted his third penalty-kick goal of the season — and program record sixth of his career — in the SMU men’s soccer team’s 1-1 tie with Nebraska Wesleyan last Sunday. Hurley has now converted six of SMU’s last seven penalty kicks.
• 3: Samantha Munson (Plain City, Utah) scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the Cardinal women’s soccer team’s 1-0 nonconference win over UW-Stout last Sunday.
• 4: The Saint Mary’s volleyball team boasted a season-high four players in double figures in kills in the Cardinals’ 3-2 nonconference win over Buena Vista last Tuesday. Brenna Bruchert (Eau Claire, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinals with 18 kills, followed by Ciarra McNally (Lewiston, Minn.) with 14, Kali Olson (New York Mills, Minn.) with 12, and Jazzy Davis (La Crosse, Wis.) with 10.
• 4: Cohan Hare (New Richmond, Wis.) scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season with less than two minutes remaining in the first half in the SMU men’s soccer team’s 2-1 conference loss to Saint John’s last Saturday.
• 6: Six of Saint Mary’s eight sets in last Saturday’s losses to Concordia and Central-Iowa were decided by two points.
• 7: With last Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Saint Benedict and their 1-0 win over UW-Stout the following day, seven of the Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team’s eight games this season have been decided by shutout.
• 13: Daniel Sessler (Brookfield, Ill.) stopped a career-high 13 shots in the SMU men’s soccer team’s 1-1 tie against Nebraska Wesleyan last Sunday. Sessler — who made a then-season-high eight saves in SMU’s 2-1 loss to Saint John’s on Saturday — had stopped 12 shots on five different occasions in his collegiate career.
• 1,000: With her ninth kill in the second set of last Saturday’s nonconference match against Central-Iowa, Ciarra McNally (Lewiston, Minn.) became the 14th player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills. McNally currently has 1,014 kills in her four-year collegiate career and is sitting 12th all-time.
