LA CROSSE, Wis. - On Saturday afternoon, the Saint Mary's track and field team crossed the Mississippi River to compete in the Pat Healy Classic at UW-La Crosse.

MEN
The meet kicked off with
Ben Kritsberg securing a 5th place finish in the men's 60m sprint, clocking in at 7.15. In the men's 800m,
Goi Ruei took 9th place with a time of 2:01.75, while his teammate
Zander Olmschenk followed closely in 11th with a 2:05.44.
Senior
Chris Bulwa finished in second place in the 200m, clocking a time of 22.09, just behind the reigning national champion.
Casen Fritz set a personal record in the men's weight throw, placing fourth with a distance of 15.82 meters!
WOMEN
Freshman
Mya Slavin secured a 9th place finish in the women's mile, primarily racing against Division II competitors, with a time of 5:18.62. Another freshman,
Zari Young, took 5th in the women's 60m sprint, competing against an athlete who had recently broken the national record, finishing with a time of 7.92.
Junior
Samantha Munson finished 15th in the highly competitive women's 200m final, clocking in at 26.79.
Sydney Jackman took 9th in the shot put with a distance of 11.57. In the final field event,
Anna Becker earned 3rd place in the weight throw with a personal best of 15.08, while
Morgan Wallendal finished 8th with a throw of 13.99.
The teams are back in action on Saturday, February 1st for the Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout.
