ST. PAUL, Minn. - Four first place finishes, that is what we like to hear! The Saint Mary's Track and Field team had another phenomenal showing on the second day of the Rider Bolstorff Invitational hosted by Macalester College.

The meet kicked off on a high note as both the men's and women's 4x100m relay teams claimed first place. The men—
Ben Kritsberg,
Ryan Cramer,
Jinwoo Jung, and
Oliver Adamson—finished in 42.59 seconds, while the women—
Zari Young,
McKenzie Munson,
Melissa Torres, and
Samantha Munson—crossed the line in 48.70 seconds, just one hundredth of a second shy of their previous best time.
The 3000m steeplechase followed, with
Grant Schneider making his seasonal debut and securing third place with a time of 10:11.16. This marked a 40-second personal best, moving him into fifth place on the all-time list for the event.
Katherine Goergen finished seventh in the women's race, clocking in at 13:40.94.
Continuing the Cardinals' win streak,
Mya Slavin took to the track in the 1500m run, racing to a new personal best of 4:48.87, which also moved her into second place all-time at Saint Mary's. Her first-place finish was nearly three seconds faster than the runner-up. Abigail Meyer also set a new personal best in the 1500m, finishing with a time of 5:22.09.

Cade Kloss and Zander Omshenk both raced to new personal bests in the 400m dash finishing in 20th (53.22s) and 21st (53.30s) respectively.

In the 100m dash, Cramer took fourth in 10.96s, Adamson tied for seventh in 11.10s, and Jung raced to a new personal best, finishing in 11.13s, securing the 10th all-time spot for the event.Â

The women also had an outstanding performance, with Young securing the title in the event with a time of 12.10 seconds, breaking her own school record by one hundredth of a second. S. Munson finished fourth with a time of 12.50 seconds, moving her into the fourth spot all-time, while Torres took 12th place with a time of 12.92 seconds.

In the 800m dash,
Goi Ruei clinched a new personal best time of 1:59.09 that claimed him fifth place in the meet.
Evan Finney also ran a new personal best time, finishing his 800m in 2:14.63s.

In the final sprint event of the day, the 200m dash, Adamson finished third (22.31s), and Cramer finished fourth (22.44s).Â
For the women, S. Munson set a new personal record with a time of 25.73 seconds, moving her into second place all-time in school history. Torres finished seventh in the event, crossing the line in 26.80 seconds.
For the last event on the track, the men made an impressive showing in the 4x400m race, with the team of
Eddie Paton,
Brady Johnson, Ruei, and Kloss working to a finish of 3:31.08 that earned them second place in the meet.Â

Not only did the track events make an impact, the feld events stood out too.

Antonio Cisewski finished sixth with a jump of 6.37m in the long jump.Â

In the triple jump,
Nathan Longfors finished seventh with 11.59m.
Xara Gin had her best performance yet in the women's pole vault, clearing 3.51m, a huge personal best that earned her a third place finish.Â

The throws team also had a number of athletes make personal bests.Â

Morgan Wallendal had a season best throw in the shot put (12.22m) that earned her a fourth place finish. Lexi Repinski (8.78m),
Isabella Schei (8.32m), and
Breacia Carter (7.25m) also had personal best showings in the shot put.Â

Casen Fritz had a season best performance in the discus, throwing the disc 36.40m (16th).
Â
In the women's javelin throw, Schei (31.59m) had a season best throw that earned her seventh place.
Ellie Hoffarth (20.42m) also had a personal best throw in the javelin.Â

Finally,
Henry Gathje made his performance in the javelin, 42.09m, and fifth in the event for the men.

The Cardinals will return next week for the final week of competition and tune up before their conference showing in two weeks.Â

They will compete at the Maverick Open in Mankato on Wednesday, April 30th, and Friday, May 2nd.
