Burfeind averaged 22.5 ppg in the SMU men's basketball team's two games at the UW-Oshkosh Thanksgiving Classic last weekend. The junior netted a career-best 24 points in last Friday's loss to host UW-Oshkosh, then recorded his second straight 20-plus point effort against UW-Eau Claire a day later, finishing with a team-best 21 points. Burfeind was 18-for-21 from the free throw line — including 8-for-8 against UW-Eau Claire — while also hauling in 12 rebounds in SMU's two tournament games.
