Peterson collected a career-best 23 kills in the SMU volleyball team’s 3-1 win over Central (Iowa) last Friday at the Cardinal Invitational. Peterson’s 23 kills are the most by a Cardinal this season and the most since Kara Grant recorded 26 kills against Clarke on Sept. 30, 2011.

Peterson finished the week with a team-best 58 kills in four matches — including a 3-0 run at the Cardinal Invitational last weekend — and heads into this week's matches a team-leading 238 kills
