Averbeck put together a memorable performance in the Cardinal fastpitch softball team's conference doubleheader against sixth-ranked St. Thomas last Sunday.

Averbeck hit .429 (3-for-7) with a double and four RBIs in two games against the high-powered Tommies, recording a two-run, pinch-hit double in the opener, before going 2-for-4 with two more RBIs in the nightcap.

Averbeck's two-hit Game 2 and two-RBI showings in each of the two comests were both career highs, while her Game 1 double was also the first of her collegiate career.
