Paulson poured in 66 points (22.0 ppg) and hauled in 30 rebounds (10.0 rpg) in the Cardinal women’s basketball team’s three games last week.
Paulson kicked off her week in impression fashion, pouring in a season-high 26 points — going 7 of 13 from the field, five 5 3-pointers and a perfect 7-for-7 effort — while playing all 40 minutes of a 70-57 win over Hamline last Wednesday.
Two days later, the senior sharp-shooter was at it again, draining four 3-pointers as part of a 5 of 16 effort from the field en route to a team-best 19 points in SMU’s six-point, 75-69 loss to St. Olaf.
In her final game of the week, Paulson continued her offensive barrage, scoring 21 points — her sixth 20+ point showing of the season — and hauling in a career-high 17 rebounds in the Cardinals’ 83-69 rout of St. Scholastica. The double-double was her fourth of the season, and her 17 boards were the most by a Cardinal since Brandi Blattner corralled 20 on Feb. 20, 2018.
All told, Paulson closed out the week shooting 41.7 percent from the field (20-for-48) with 11 3-pointers, and a 15 of 17 showing from the free throw line. Paulson also recorded seven assists and two steals.
