ST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint Mary's University men's soccer coach Chris Dembiec knew heading into Saturday's season finale that his Cardinals were going to have their hands full with nationally ranked St. Thomas.

What the Cardinal head coach didn't realize, however, was just how ungracious a host the Tommies would be.

St. Thomas erupted for seven goals – by six different players – in handing the Cardinals a season-ending 7-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference setback.

Game Summary
The Tommies got on the board in the game's 15th minute on a goal by Reid Moser-Bliel and never looked back. Mike Hutton and Sean Kennedy would each beat SMU goalkeeper Jon Szafranski (Barrington, Ill.) before the half ended, while Austin Kane, Elliot Amundson, Kennedy and Angel Riera all netted second-half tallies for the Tommies.

Szafranski finished with six saves in his final collegiate game for the Cardinals, who closed out the season with a 6-10-2 overall record, including a 1-8-1 mark in their 10 conference games.
