Last Action:

The Cardinals rebounded from a heartbreaking, 3-1, eight-inning loss in Game 1 against Hamline — in which the Pipers earned the win with a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth — with a 6-4 victory in the nightcap to earn the conference split in St. Paul, Minn. Gustavus, meanwhile, collected a 3-2, nine-inning victory in the opening game of its MIAC twinbill against Augsburg, but the Auggies turned the tables in Game 2, scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh to hand GAC just its second conference loss of the season, 4-3, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Last Meeting — April 19, 2009:
SMU rallied from a 4-0 deficit with three runs in the top of the seventh — and the tying run on third with two outs — but came up that one run short, falling 4-3 in the opener in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties then rode the pitching arm of Erin Truebenbach in Game 2, as Truebenbach limited SMU to one hit in lifting GAC to a sweep-clinching, 4-0 victory.
