WINONA, Minn. — Matt Graber (Denver, Colo.) proved to be the offensive leader of the Saint Mary's University men's soccer team this season, helping the Cardinals to a 7-10-1 overall record — not to mention a 4-6-0 mark in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

Thursday afternoon, Graber was back in that familiar role, as the Cardinal sophomore was named First-Team All-MIAC, leading a trio of SMU players who earned post-season conference honors.

Fernando Camacho (Chicago, Ill.) and Asa Goldsmith (Grayslake, Ill.) joined Graber on the MIAC podium, as the freshman duo was named honorable-mention All-MIAC.

Graber appeared in 17 of the team's 18 games, including starting all 10 conference contests for the Cardinals. He scored a team- and career-high four goals — including a pair of game-winners — while also leading the team with nine points.

Graber recorded his first collegiate two-goal game against Macalester on Oct. 23, recording both of SMU's tallies, as the Cardinals snapped a 25-game winless streak with a 2-0 victory over the Scots in St. Paul, Minn. His other goals came against St. Thomas on Sept. 12 and against Bethel on Sept. 22.

Camacho and Goldsmith both made their presence felt, spearheading the Cardinals' defense in their first collegiate seasons. Camacho appeared in all 10 conference games and 16 games overall, recording a pair of assists, while Goldsmith played all 18 games and chipped in an assist.

The Cardinals' seven wins marked their highest victory total since 2002, when they finished 8-8-1. SMU's four conference wins, meanwhile, are the most since 2005, when the Cardinals went 5-5-0.

St. Thomas' Nick Rapisarda was named MIAC Player of the Year, while Carleton coach Bob Carlson — who guided the Knights to regular-season co-conference championship and  a berth in the NCAA Division III National Championships — was tabbed MIAC Coach of the Year.

As part of the conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC also announced the seventh annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for men's soccer, which included SMU's Gunnar Knutson (Minneapolis, Minn.).
