ORLANDO, Fla. — The Saint Mary's University men's tennis team kicks off its four-match spring trip on Monday, squaring off against Marywood University and King's College.

Chris DiMino earned a singles conference crown, while Matt Grassi teamed with P.T. Romano for a doubles MAC crown. … King's played three matches during the fall portion of their 2011-2012 schedule, beating Susquehanna (8-1), Lycoming College (7-2) and Rutgers-Camden (8-1). … DiMino returns after recording a team-leading 14-2 record during his sophomore campaign in 2011, including a perfect 5-0 mark in MAC play. … Jake Rohring chipped in eight singles wins, while Tim Carroll added six. … The Monarchs used 19 different doubles combinations en route to their 22 doubles wins.

The Bears, coming off an 11-9 season a year ago, were ranked eighth in the 2012 Centennial Conference preseason coaches poll. … Ursinus' 11 wins in 2011 were the most in program history. … Evan Stuchin earned second-team All-Centennial Conference honors, marking the first player from Ursinus to earn all-conference honors in men's tennis. … Stutchin finished his freshman campaign with a mark of 14-8, leading the team in wins. He had an 11-7 record at No. 1 singles in what is considered one of the toughest and most competitive tennis conferences in the country. … Along with Stutchin, the Bears' Matt Hope and Brent Stevenson also recorded double-digit singles wins, with each collecting 10 victories. … As a team, Ursinus went 73-53 in doubles play in 2011. … Stutchin also collected 10 doubles wins — all at No. 1. He teamed with Hope to go 4-0 and with Evan Lord to go 5-7. Clark does not have a senior on its roster. … Diego Angel, the 2010 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year in 2010, enjoyed a solid sophomore season in 2011, going 10-3 at No. 1 singles. … Angel enters 2012 with a 16-6 career singles record, with all 22 matches played at No. 1. … Clark will play teams in all NCAA divisions this season. Along with their normal NCAA Division III schedule, the Cougars will also face Division I Holy Cross and Division II Stonehill College.
