COON RAPIDS, Minn. — Talk about good timing.
The Saint Mary's University women's golf team posted its second-lowest score of the season to kick off the three-day Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday at Bunker Hills Golf Course.
Fueled by back-to-back 98s from
Haley Jung (Monticello, Minn.) and

Jennie Marx (Austin, Minn.) and
Kortney Wobbe (Wabasha, Minn.) each chipped in 99s and
Madison Gately (Glenview, Ill.) tallied a 107 to round out the Cardinals' top five.
Saint Benedict grabbed the first-round lead, shooting a 317, one shot better than Carleton and two in front of St. Olaf. Gustavus and St. Thomas each carded 320s and are sitting in third, three shots off the Knights' lead heading into Sunday's second round.
