March 16, 2012: The
5-4 final score didn't even come close to explaining just how close the Saint Mary's-Bethel match was. All three doubles matches went the maximum 8-6 — or more — while one of the six singles matches went the three-set distance. Fortunately for the Cardinals, the three, nail-biting doubles matches all went their way, as the SMU outlasted the Royals 5-4 at the Winona Tennis Center.
SMU vs. St. Olaf — Their Last Meeting:
April 21, 2012: SMU raced out of the starting blocks in its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match against St. Olaf. It was the Oles, however, who had the better endurance, as St. Olaf rallied from a 2-1 deficit after the three doubles matches to beat the Cardinals
6-3 at the Owatonna Indoor Tennis Center.
