Blake Olmscheid (Farmington, Minn.) collected an 8-0 win at No. 3, while
Tim Wolford (Maple Grove, Minn.)-
Collin Kaczorowski (Suamico, Wis.) added an 8-4 win at No. 1 and
Gavin Smith (White Bear Lake, Minn.)-
Andrew Johnson (Rochester, Minn.) were 8-3 winners at No. 2.
And SMU continued its dominating play in singles, posting straight-set victories in all six matches. Smith posted his team-leading 13th win of the season with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3, while Johnson and Lawrenz each dropped just two games in winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 and No. 5. Kaczorowski added a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2, with
Garen Merritt (Sioux City, Iowa) rolling to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6 and Wolford posting a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 1.
The Cardinals return to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday, as SMU hosts Bethel in a 4 p.m. match at the Winona Tennis Center.
