Wolford, Kaczorowski collect All-MIAC honors

All-MIAC Tennis Teams

WINONA, Minn. — For Tim Wolford (Maple Grove, Minn.), the memorable 2015 season just keeps getting more and more memorable.

Wolford, who set career highs for singles and doubles victories—not to mention earning the No. 25 spot in the ITA rankings—added another milestone on Wednesday, as the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota senior earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors.

Not once, but twice.

Wolford not only landed on the MIAC all-conference team in singles, but he also earned doubles All-MIAC honors, with teammate—and No. 1 doubles partner—Colin Kaczorowski (Suamico, Wis.) also earned doubles all-conference honors.

The Cardinal junior—who kicked off his season by winning a pair of matches at the Gustavus Midwest Open last fall—led the team with 18 singles wins, including a 6-3 mark at No. 1 in nine conference matches.

Wolford played 10 three-set singles matches en route to hits team-best 18 wins, while also putting together a season-best 11-match winning streak.

In doubles play, Wolford and Kaczorowski, who teamed to post a 12-match unbeaten streak, finished 17-3 in dual matches at No. 1 doubles this season—including a 6-3 mark in conference play.

The Cardinals, who put together an 11-match winning streak—the longest in coach Jeff Halberg's 15 years at the helm—finished 4-5 in the MIAC and 14-7 overall.
