WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's tennis team steps out of conference play for a pair of matches this weekend. The Cardinals host Crown in a 6 p.m. matchup on Friday at the Winona Tennis Center, before heading to Pleasant Valley Tennis Center in Jackson, Wis., for an 11:30 a.m. showdown against Concordia (Wis.).

• Saint Mary's: The Cardinals are back in action next weekend with a pair of conference matches. Saint Mary's will host Hamline in a 5:30 p.m. contest at the Winona Tennis Center on Friday, before heading to Chang Tennis Complex in Collegeville, Minn., for a 1 p.m. showdown with Saint John's.
• Crown: The Storm are right back in action on Saturday, kicking off UMAC action with a pair of home matches against Northwestern (10 a.m.) and Bethany Lutheran (1 p.m.).

• The Storm head into Friday's match against Saint Mary's still looking for their first win of the season. Crown has dropped each of its first seven matches this season — and has now lost 11 straight over the past two seasons. … Nine of Crown's last 11 losses have been 9-0 sweeps — the lone exceptions, a 5-4 loss to North Central on Feb. 27 and a 6-3 setback vs. UM-Morris on March 2. … Andrew Moorse and Romeo Mork share the team lead with two singles wins each. The two have accounted for four of Crown's five singles victories — Caleb Baumann has the other. … As a team, Crown is 5-37 in singles play — including 2-5 at both No. 2 and No. 3, and 1-6 at No. 1.
