  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals enter Wednesday's nonconference match against MSU-Mankato on the heels of a 1-1 showing in their season-opening weekend. SMU dropped an 8-1 decision to Bethel last Friday, before picked up its first win of the season, a 7-2 triumph over Loras, the following afternoon. … Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.) collected the Cardinals' lone win against Bethel, before winning 7-6 (4), 6-4 at No. 5 singles, before adding her second straight win with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 triumph against Loras. … Maggie Frye (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Emily Henderson (Jordan, Minn.), Colleen Lois (Green Bay, Wis.), and Natalie Peterson (St. Cloud, Minn.) also picked up singles wins against Loras last Saturday. … With her two wins this season, Becker improved her career singles record to 9-2. The sophomore went 7-2 a year ago — including a season-opening five-match winning streak. … The wins by Henderson and Peterson vs. the Duhawks last Saturday were their first collegiate singles victories. … Lois/Peterson and Frye/Henderson owns Saint Mary's two doubles figures — Lois/Peterson at No. 1 and Frye/Henderson at No. 3. … With their 7-2 win over Loras last Saturday — the second 7-2 win vs. the Duhawks in as many years — the Cardinals improved to 63-20 against nonconference opponents since 2012.
  MSU-MANKATO MAVERICKS SCOUTING REPORT
The Mavericks enter Wednesday's mid-week showdown against Saint Mary's boasting a 1-5 record — including back-to-back 7-0 losses in their last two meetings. … Four of Mankato's five losses have been 7-0 sweeps, with the other a 6-1 setback. The Mavericks' lone win was a 7-0 win over UM-Crookston on Feb. 21. … Lauren Goth is the only Maverick with more than one singles win through six matches, while Abigail Clayton, Dee Dokken, Kjerstin Hall, Sarah Johansen, and Tyanna Washa also own one singles victory. … MSU0-M is 2-4 at No. 4 singles, while going 1-5 in the other five singles spots. … Goth/Washa have played all five matches in 2021 at No. 1 doubles, going 1-5. They are the only pairing to compete in all five matches at the same position. … Dokken/Hall and Clayton/Johansen are both 1-4 in doubles play — Dokken/Hall at No. 2 and Clayton/Johansen at No. 3. … Wednesday's match at Saint Mary's is the sixth "road" contest of the season. The Mavericks are 0-2 at their opponent's home courts, while going 1-3 in neutral-site contests.
