  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals played six of their eight matches during the abbreviated 2020 schedule on their home courts at the Winona Tennis Center. … Saint Mary's closed out the season having won two straight and six of their first eight matches. … Saint Mary's heartbreaking 5-4 loss to St. Thomas on Feb. 14 snapped its season-opening three-match winning streak. … Four of the Cardinals' six singles matches against St. Thomas on Feb. 14 went into a third-set. … Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.) extended her season-opening, dual-match singles winning streak to five with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles against St. Thomas on Feb. 14 and a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Northwestern (Iowa) on Feb. 15. The freshman's perfect run came to halt, however, with a loss to Gustavus the following day. … Becker bounced back from that streak-snapping loss vs. Gustavus with back-to-back wins against Macalester and Loras, and closed out the year with a team-leading seven dual-match wins, one more than Cassandra Barr (Eau Claire, Wis.) and two in front of Maggie Frye (Colorado Springs, Colo.). … After recording a pair of wins at the Gustavus Fall Invitational last September, Frye and Becker each picked up their first collegiate dual-match singles wins against Martin Luther on Jan. 25. … Colleen Lois (No. 1) and Barr (No. 2) were the only Cardinals to play all eight matches at the same position a year ago. … As a team, Saint Mary's finished 29-19 in singles play — 4-4 at No. 1 and No. 5, 6-2 at No. 2, and 5-3 at Nos. 3, 4, and 6. … Barr/Lois and Becker/Frye had their season-opening five-match doubles winning streaks snapped with losses to Gustavus on Feb. 15. … Combined with their three tournament wins at the Gustavus Fall Invitational last fall, Becker/Frye won nine of the 11 doubles matches they were paired up in. … Barr/Lois played all eight matches at No. 1 doubles, compiling a near-perfect 7-1 record. They were the only Cardinal combination to play all six matches at the same position. … As a team, Saint Mary's finished 19-5 in doubles play. Along with Barr/Lois compiling a 7-1 mark at No. 1, the Cardinals were 6-2 at both No. 2 and No. 3. … With their season-opening win over Martin Luther on Jan. 25, the Cardinals have now opened the season with a 9-0 victory in five straight seasons. … Saint Mary's dropped just nine games in their five singles wins against UW-Superior on Feb. 8, and lost only nine games in their five singles wins against Northwestern (Iowa) on Feb. 15. … With their season-opening 9-0 win over Martin Luther on Jan. 25, the Cardinals are now 13-0 in their 13 meetings with Martin Luther. … With their 7-2 win over Loras on Feb. 23, the Cardinals improved to 62-20 against nonconference opponents since 2012.
  BETHEL ROYALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Royals got seven matches in before the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic — going 6-1. … Bethel, which won both of its conference matches a year ago — beating St. Olaf 7-2 and Concordia 8-1 — finished the year ranked No. 35 in the final ITA national rankings. It was the highest ranking in program history. … BU's lone loss last season was a 5-4-nonconference decision to Grinnell on Oct. 12, 2019. … Mackenzie Novak picked up a team-high six singles matches a year ago, while Ingrid Goldstrand, Grace Riemann, and Maggie Riermann all won five singles contests. … Bethel did not drop a match at No. 1 or No. 5 singles, going a perfect 7-0, while finishing 6-1 at No. 2. … Grace & Maggie Riermann — both returning ITA All-Americans — closed out the year last season unbeaten in five doubles matches, while Novak/Sydney Rolt also teamed for five doubles wins a year ago. … As a team, Bethel went 34-7 in singles matches, while boasting an 18-3 record in doubles play.
  LORAS DUHAWKS SCOUTING REPORT
The Duhawks head into the 2021 portion of their schedule after posting a 4-3 overall record in 2020. … Clair Moore made a splash in her first-ever ARC Tournament, winning the C-Flight championship. … Moore closed out the fall portion of Loras' second with a near-perfect 11-1 record — including a 6-1 showing in dual-meet matches. … Moore enters the Duhawks' match against Saint Mary's riding a nine-match singles winning streak. … Lauren Dilulio is second to Moore in singles wins with four. … Dilulio and Sara Backus have teamed to go 5-1 in doubles play — they are the only doubles combination with more than one victory. … As a team, Loras is 22-19 in dual-match singles action, while going 12-9 in doubles play.
