  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals head into their doubleheader against Hamline sitting at 3-11 overall, after dropping both ends of their conference-opening doubleheader against St. Thomas last Saturday. … Saturday's games against Hamline marks just the third home date for the Cardinals, who have played 10 of their first 14 games away from the Saint Mary's Field. … Justine Schultz (Winona, Minn.) and Paige Gudmundson (Plainview, Minn.) each had two-hit games against St. Thomas last Saturday — Schultz's coming in Game 1 and Gudmundson's in Game 2. … Schultz has now had at least one hit in 10 of the team's last 12 games — including four two-hit games. … Mackenzie Carey (Prescott, Wis.) was perfect from the plate in the opener against Augsburg on March 21, going 4-for-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored.   HAMLINE PIPERS SCOUTING REPORT
Hamline enters the weekend with a 3-3 overall record, having not played since March 20, when they swept UW-Superior 8-0 and 5-2. … The Pipers' matchup with Saint Mary's will be their conference-opener. … Hamline has been held to one run in each of its three losses — falling to Northland (2-1), and UW-Stevens Point twice (10-1, 6-1). On the flip side, the Pipers have played 16 runs in their three wins — beating Northland (9-1) and UW-Superior twice (8-0, 5-2). … As a team, Hamline is hitting .273, and boasts three players — Theresa Kinnert (.533), Amber Peterson (.354) and Megan Rubbelke (.313) — who are hitting above .300 through six games. … Along with her team-leading .533 batting average, Kinnert also owns the team's top spot in hits (8), runs (5), home runs (2), total bases (18), slugging percentage (1.200), walks (4), and on-base percentage (.632). … Kinnert and Rubbelke share the team lead in doubles with two each, while also sharing the team lead in RBIs with four. … Kinnert has posted two-hit games in four of the Pipers' first six contests. …  Kinnert and Dana Rosbacka have been the workhorses in the pitcher's circle for the Pipers, tossing 18.1 and 11.2 innings, respectively. … Kinnert (2-1, 3.82 ERA) has made four appearances, including three starts, while Rosbacka (0-2, 4.20 ERA) has made a pair of starts. … Kinnert has struck out a team-leading 22 batters.
