  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
Saturday's match at Saint Benedict is just the third road match of the season for the Cardinals, who have played seven of their nine matches on their home courts at the Winona Tennis Center. … All five of SMU's wins this season have been at home. The Cardinals are 5-2 at WTC, while going 0-2 on the road. … The Cardinals locked up win No. 5 with a convincing 8-1 victory over Northwestern on April 2. … Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.), who had her season- and career-high seven-match singles winning streak snapped with a loss at No. 3 singles against St. Thomas on March 21, picked up her team-leading eighth singles win of the season with a 6-2, 6-0 victory vs. Northwestern on April 2. … With her 8-1 mark this season, Becker is now 15-3 in singles play over the first two years of her collegiate career. Becker finished the pandemic-shortened 2020 season at 7-3. … Emily Henderson (Jordan, Minn.) also had her singles winning streak snapped against the Tommies on March 21. After dropping her first match of the season, Henderson had rattled off six straight wins. … Henderson is second to Becker with six singles wins, while Colleen Lois (Green Bay, Wis.) is currently third on the team with five singles wins. … Lois is the only Cardinal to play all nine matches at the same position, going 5-4 at No. 1 singles. … Sarrianna Hoffer (Wausau, Wis.) accounted for SMU's lone win against St. Thomas in their last match on March 21. Her straight-set win at No. 6 singles was the first of her collegiate career. … Henderson and Natalie Peterson (St. Cloud, Minn.) recorded their first collegiate singles victories against Loras on March 6. … Henderson and Maddie Dosser (South St. Paul, Minn.) own a team-best six doubles wins. … As a doubles team, Dosser and Henderson are a team-best 5-1. … With their 8-1 win over Northwestern on April 2, the Cardinals improved to 66-20 against nonconference opponents since 2012.
  SAINT BENEDICT BENNIES SCOUTING REPORT
The Bennies enter the weekend's matches against Gustavus and Saint Mary's looking to reach the .500 mark on the season. CSB is currently 2-3 through five matches, including 0-2 in league play. … Saint Benedict has played four of its first five matches on its home courts, going 2-2. CSB is 0-1 on the road this season. … The Bennies' last two matches have been decided by 9-0 courts — CSB swept UM-Morris 9-0 on March 27, before being swept by St. Thomas 9-0 the following day. … Peyton Kopel and Lily Fredericks lead the team with three singles wins each, one more than Maria Bedford, Jane Bodensteiner, and Kayla McIver. … McIver has played all five matches at No. 1 singles for the Bennies this season, while Fredericks and Kopel have done the same at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. … Bedford and Bodensteiner share the team lead in doubles wins with three — including a perfect 2-0 mark as a doubles pair. … As a team, CSB is 13-17 in singles play, while going 8-7 in doubles.
  MACALESTER SCOTS SCOUTING REPORT
This weekend's matches against St. Catherine and Macalester are the season-openers for the Scots. Macalester played five matches — going 3-2 — before the 2020 season was halted due to COVID-19. … The Scots' 5-4 loss to Saint Mary's on Feb. 21, snapped their season-opening two-match winning streak a year ago. Macalester would follow up that 5-4 loss to SMU with a 5-4 win over St. Thomas, before falling to UW-Eau Claire 8-1 in what proved to be their season-finale. … Emma Baker closed out the pandemic-shortened 2020 season winning four of five singles matches. Amalin Sorajja finished the year second in the team with three singles wins, while Claire Buehler and Laurel Hickey added two each. … Baker, Buehler, Hickey, Amalin Sorajja, and Natali Sorajja all recorded three doubles victories in 2020 to share the team lead. … Baker and Hickey posted a team-best 3-1 record as a doubles pair last season, while Buehler/Avery Munster and Amalin Sorajja/Natali Sorajja were both 2-2. … As a team, Macalester boasted a 17-13 record in singles play, while going 10-5 in doubles.
