  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals enter their matchup against Gustavus having dropped both ends of their doubleheader against St. Olaf on Thursday, falling 6-0 in the opener and 12-4 in the nightcap. … Cassie Sutor (Chicago, Ill.) belted a one-out single to right in the bottom of the seventh to account for SMU's lone hit in Game 1 against the Oles Thursday, while Jordan Meyers (Eyota, Minn.) and Hallie Schmeling (Onalaska, Wis.) each had two hits in Game 2. … Amber Chow (West St. Paul, Minn.) boasts a team-leading .347 batting average, while Lexi Brooks (Searcy, Ark. / .345), Sutor (.342), Meyers (.325), and Justine Schultz (Winona, Minn. / .306) are also hitting above .300. … Schultz leads the Cardinals in runs (12), hits (19), triples (2), and total bases (25). … Sutor owns the team's lone home run this season — hitting her first collegiate round-tripper against Hamline on April 10. … Chow boasts the team lead in RBIs with 12. … Paige Gudmundson (Plainview, Minn.) leads the team with seven stolen bases, two more than Schultz. … Chow and Schultz hold the team lead with six multiple-hit games and Chow is also the team-leader with five multiple-RBI games. … Schultz and Erin Sullivan (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) have each put together team-high five-game hitting streaks this season, but Sutor's three-game run is the longest active hitting streak. … Mackenzie Carey (Prescott, Wis.) was perfect from the plate in the opener against Augsburg on March 21, going 4-for-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored.   GUSTAVUS GUSTIES SCOUTING REPORT
After dropping both games of their doubleheader to St. Catherine on Thursday, falling 6-5 and 4-1, the Gusties enter Saturday's showdown against Saint Mary's sitting at 2-6 in MIAC play and 7-9 overall. … Saturday's doubleheader against Saint Mary's is the second straight road twinbill for the Gusties, who are 2-6 on the road this season. … With their 6-5 and 4-1 losses to St. Catherine on Thursday, Gustavus saw its losing streak climb to a season-high six games. … As a team, the Gusties are hitting just .230, with Madelyn Mueller's .250 batting average tops among Gusties with 30 or more at-bats through 16 games. … Mueller also leads or shares the team lead in runs (7), hits (13), doubles (3), triples (1), walks (7), on-base percentage (.350), and slugging percentage (.346). … Kaylyn Leonard is the team-leader in RBIs with nine. … Ashley Nueenfeldt (3-5, 4.90 ERA) and Piper Otto (2-3, 4.34 ERA) have been the workhorses in the pitcher's circle for the Gusties, logging 40.0 and 30.2 innings, respectively. Nueenfeldt has made eight starts, two more than Otto, while Otto owns the team lead in strikeouts with 32. … With their 4-1, Game 2 loss to St. Catherine on Thursday, Gustavus has now been held to two runs or less in eight of its nine losses this season.
