  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals enter their matchup against St. Catherine having split a pair of games against Gustavus Saturday, falling 2-0 in the opener, before rebounding with an 8-2 win in the nightcap. … Saturday's matchup against Gustavus was the Cardinals second home doubleheader in three days, having dropped both ends of their doubleheader against St. Olaf on Thursday, falling 6-0 in the opener and 12-4 in the nightcap. … Amber Chow (West St. Paul, Minn.) struck out a career-high 10 batters in the Cardinals' 2-0 loss to Gustavus in Game 1 Saturday, while Jordan Meyers (Eyota, Minn.) led the way for the Cardinal offense in the nightcap, going 3-for-4 and Erin Sullivan (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. … Cassie Sutor (Chicago, Ill.) and Sullivan each hit home runs for the Cardinals in the second game against Gustavus Saturday — Sutor's a solo shot, while Sullivan's was a three-run blast. … Sutor has now hit two lead-off home runs this season, having blasted her first collegiate round-tripper against Hamline on April 10. … Meyers is hitting a team-leading .362, while Sutor (.318) and Chow (.309) are also hitting above .300. … Justine Schultz (Winona, Minn.) has scored a team-best 12 runs, while Chow and Meyers share the team lead in hits with 17. … Chow also leads the Cardinals in doubles (6), RBIs (13), total bases (23), and on-base percentage (.397). … Paige Gudmundson (Plainview, Minn.) leads the team with seven stolen bases, two more than Schultz and Meyers. … Chow and Schultz hold the team lead with six multiple-hit games and Chow is also the team-leader with five multiple-RBI games. … Schultz and Sullivan each put together team-high five-game hitting streaks this season, but Meyers' three-game run is the longest active hitting streak. … Mackenzie Carey (Prescott, Wis.) was perfect from the plate in the opener against Augsburg on March 21, going 4-for-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored. The Wildcats are coming off an impressive doubleheader sweep of Carleton on Saturday, beating the Knights 11-1 and 7-0 to push their conference record to 9-1. … Katilin Boyles went 3-for-5, and Taylor Brunn, Angela Huepfel, and Alex Ehde all had two hits in Game 1 against Carleton Saturday, while Annabelle Schutte had three hits, and Boyles and Mikayla Grant chipped in two hits each in the nightcap. … Angela Huepfel is hitting a team-leading .500, with Burr (.379), Boyles (.378), Ehde (.354), Brun (.328), and Julia Azure (.314) also hitting above .300. … Huepfel also leads the team in hits (35), doubles (7), home runs (7), RBIs (34), total bases (63), slugging percentage (.900), and on-base percentage (.520). … Burr has scored a team-leading 18 runs. … As a team, St. Catherine has hit 16 home runs, led by Hoepfel with seven. … Kathryn Proper (6-3, 2.48 ERA) has tossed a team-high 53.2 innings in the pitcher's circle, while Annabelle Schutte (5-2, 2.66 ERA) has thrown 50.0 innings. … Proper leads the staff in appearances (14), complete games (4), shutouts (1), saves (1), and she and Schutte share the team lead with 34 strikeouts each. … After opening the season at 5-6, the Wildcats have rattled off nine straight wins.
