  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals head into their showdown at Saint Benedict sitting at 5-11 in conference play as part of a 8-20 overall mark. … With their sweep of Augsburg last Saturday, Saint Mary's improved to 4-0 against the Auggies this season Saint Mary's beat Augsburg 10-5 and 6-0 in a nonconference doubleheader on March 21. … Both of the Cardinals' wins over Augsburg last Saturday were walk-offs. Hallie Schmeling (Onalaska, Wis.) belted a two-run double to give SMU the 5-4 win in Game 1, while Justine Schultz (Winona, Minn.) smacked a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth for a 7-6 Game 2 win. … Schultz and Schmeling each had five hits in the Cardinals' sweep of Augsburg. … Schultz and Jordan Meyers (Eyota, Minn.) each had two hits in the Cardinals' 6-0, 10-1 losses to Bethel last Sunday. … Amber Chow (West St. Paul, Minn.) is hitting a team-high .352, while Jordan Meyers (Eyota, Minn.) and Schultz (.310) are also hitting above .300 through 28 games. … Schultz has scored a team-leading 15 runs, while also leading or sharing the team lead in hits (27), doubles (6), and total bases (37). … Chow owns a team-high 15 RBIs and leads the Cardinals in slugging percentage (.437) and on-base percentage (.434). … Paige Gudmundson (Plainview, Minn.) leads the team with seven stolen bases, one more than Meyers and two in front of Schultz. … Chow has posted a team-high nine multiple-hit games — including a pair of three-hit performances — and owns a team-best five multiple-RBI games. … Schultz and Sullivan each put together team-high five-game hitting streaks this season, but Schultz's four-hit run is the longest active hitting streak. … Mackenzie Carey (Prescott, Wis.) was perfect from the plate in the opener against Augsburg on March 21, going 4-for-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored. The Bennies enter their conference doubleheader against Saint Mary's riding an eight-game winning streak. CSB is 15-3 in conference play with four MIAC contests remaining, while also boasting a 23-5 overall record. … CSB's 10-0 and 17-4 wins over Macalester Tuesday were the fifth and sixth straight wins shortened by the eight-run rule. … Macalester's four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning of Game 2 Tuesday snapped the Bennie's scoreless inning streak at 46. CSB had posted seven straight shutout wins and had not allowed a run since surrendering two in the top of the fourth inning against St. Olaf on April 17.
