• 2: The SMU men’s basketball team’s 90-84, double-overtime loss to Hamline last Tuesday marked the second overtime game of the season — with both coming against the Pipers. HU dealt Saint Mary’s an 87-84 loss on Jan. 30.
• 2 x 1: The Saint Mary’s baseball team dropped a pair of one-run games to Franklin in the first day of their spring trip last Sunday, falling to the Grizzlies 3-2 and 1-0.
• 3-6, 6-4, 12-10: Brendon Raabolle (Andover, Minn.) rallied from a set down to post a 3-6, 6-4, 12-10 win at No. 5 singles to lock up the Cardinal men’s tennis team’s 5-4, come-from-behind victory over Bethany Lutheran last Saturday.
• 4: Aidan Gatz (Elburn, Ill.) posted the Cardinals’ top Day 2 performance at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Sunday, clearing 4.37 meters to place fourth in the men’s pole vault — earning the sophomore honorable-mention All-MIAC honors.
• 5-4: For the second year in a row, the Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team’s match against Bethany Lutheran ended in a 5-4 decision. The Cardinals rallied from a 4-3 deficit with wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles to beat the Vikings 5-4 at the Winona Tennis Center last Saturday.
• 9-0 x 10: The Cardinal women’s tennis team collected its 10th straight 9-0 victory over Bethany Lutheran with last Saturday’s nonconference triumph at the Winona Tennis Center.
• 16: The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team closed out its 2022-23 season with 16 wins, marking the second time in the five years under coach Joe Fano that the Cardinals recorded a double-digit win total — having recorded 14 wins during the 2019-20 season. The 16 wins were also the most by a Saint Mary’s team since SMU went 16-10 during the 1977-78 campaign.

• 24.6: Raheem Anthony (Chicago, Ill.) closed out his senior season for the SMU men’s basketball team averaging a team- and conference-leading 24.6 ppg, The 24.6 ppg scoring average was not only tops in the conference, but is also No. 2 in all of NCAA Division III, behind E.J. Day of Lasell (25.8 ppg).
• 26: Breyton Buysman (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) scored a career-high 26 points in the SMU men’s basketball team’s 90-84, double-overtime MIAC Playoff loss to Hamline last Tuesday.
• 86: Owen Ziegler (Mount Horeb, Wis.) knocked down three 3-pointers in the SMU men’s basketball team’s 90-84 double-overtime loss to Hamline last Tuesday, giving the junior a program-record 86 3-pointers for the season.
