WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's soccer team, coming off an impressive 7-0 nonconference victory over Ripon on Saturday, are right back on the pitch Sunday, playing host to Lakeland in a 7 p.m. contest at Ochrymowycz Field.

The Cardinals got four goals from Amy Sibik (Onalaska, Wis.), as SMU picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, rolling past Ripon 7-0 at Ochrymowycz Field. Lakeland, meanwhile, dropped its second straight contest Saturday, falling to Martin Luther 9-0 in New Ulm, Minn.

Amy Sibik (Onalaska, Wis.) collected her second career four-goal game on Saturday, scoring goals No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the Cardinals' 7-0 win over Ripon. … With her fourth goal, Sibik moved into a tie with Kristen Kluge for fifth in career goals with 38. Her nine points vs. the Red Hawks also vaulted the Cardinal senior into seventh all-time in career points — 12 points behind No. 6 Barb Bock. … Kelsey Schneider (Portland, Ore.), Amanda Rahman (Rochester, Minn.) and Caitlyn Cole (Winneconne, Wis.) accounted for SMU's three other goals vs. Ripon. … Schneider and Rahman also had assists vs. the Red Hawks, as did Sloane Kuramoto (Rochester, Minn.), Tessa Scanlon (Cologne, Minn.), Kelsey Brown (Elk River, Minn.) and Tania Trowbridge (Shakopee, Minn.). … Cassie Hulett (Milwaukee, Wis.) needed to stop just one Ripon shot to secure her first collegiate shutout Saturday. … SMU's seven goals vs. the Red Hawks are the most since the Cardinals netted nine in a 9-0 win over Presentation in 2008. … Seven of SMU's last 10 wins have come on its home field. … Saturday's win was the seventh in the Cardinals' last nine nonconference games. The Muskies enter today's game still searching for their first win of the year, having been shut out in each of their first two games. … Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Sarbacker has been busy between the pipes already this season, stopping 17 North Central shots in her collegiate debut on Sept. 1, then adding 18 saves vs. Martin Luther on Saturday. … Kristina Borts and Lindsay Rodgers accounted for all seven Lakeland shots on goal vs. Martin Luther, with Borts hitting the net four times, while Rodgers had three on target. … First-year head coach Tony Pierce inherits a team that finished 12th in the Northern Athletics Conference a year ago, ending the 2009 season with a 4-15 overall record, including a 2-10 mark in conference play. …
