Cardinals' Last Action:
The Cardinals put together rounds of 372-361—733 to place 15th at the Division III Midwest Classic at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minn., last weekend.

Cardinals' Last Appearance at Viterbo Invitational:
Sept. 25-26, 2010: SMU got off to a fast start at the Viterbo Invitational, racing out to a 397 18-hole team total. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, their finishing kick lacked a little punch, as SMU struggled to a 428 and settled for a seventh-place finish.

Cardinals Up Next:
The Cardinals close out the regular season next weekend, traveling to Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn., for the three-day, Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. Play in the 54-hole tournament begins Friday, and concludes on Monday.

Gia Puch (Des Plaines, Ill.) and Rachel Lamberty (Farmington, Minn.) were mirror images of each other at the Division III Midwest Classic, as the two opened with identical 91s, then followed that up by both shooting 88 in Sunday's second round. … The Cardinals shaved 11 strokes off their opening-round 372 team score, carding a 361 for a 36-hole total of 733 at last weekend's Division III Midwest Classic. … Along with the 91-88—179s by Puch and Lamberty, the Cardinals also got a 188 (93-95) from Lauren Ulbrich (Rochester, Minn.), a 97-92—189 from Jenna Mrozinski (North St. Paul, Minn.) and a 190 (97-93) from Sarah Gustafson (Esko, Minn.). … Puch enters this weekend's Viterbo Invitational as the team's scoring average leader at 90.0, while Lamberty is close behind at 90.7. … The Cardinals' second-round team score of 349 at the Wartburg Invitational on Sept. 11 was the third-best 18-hole team score in program history. … SMU's 715 36-hole total at the Wartburg Invite was the second-best score in program history. … Ulbrich shot a career-best round of 85 to finish at 175 (90-85) at the Wartburg Invitational. She was one of three Cardinals to post career-best scores during the second round at Wartburg on Sept. 11. Mrozinski and Gustafson also notched 18-hole career bests in Round 2 at Wartburg, with Mrozinski carding an 86, while Gustafson posted an 88. … Puch's opening-round 83 at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational on Sept. 3 was just four strokes off her collegiate best round of 79, carding at the 2009 MIAC Championships.
