The Cardinals are coming off a busy weekend last weekend, as SMU split its two nonconference matches in DePere, Wis., on Saturday, dropping a 5-4 decision to Michigan Tech, before topping St. Norbert 7-2. SMU then followed that up with an 8-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point in Stevens Point, Wis., on Sunday. … St. Olaf, meanwhile, rebounded from its first conference loss with an 8-1 win over St. Thomas on April 14, while Macalester heads into its weekend matches against Hamline and Saint Mary's on the heels of a 6-3 conference win over Bethel on April 14.

April 9, 2011: Bailey Edwards (Fond du Lac, Wis.) picked up her school-record 17th singles win of the season, dropping Macalester's Paige Schaefer in a marathon, 7-5, 2-6, 12-10, but it was not enough, as Macalester outlasted SMU 5-4 in St. Paul, Minn.
