Record BookKatie Stolz (Forest Lake, Minn.) sparked a 1-2 finish in the steeplechase at last Saturday's Gustavus Lee Krough Invitational, breaking her own school record with a winning time of 11:38.10. … Stolz has now broken two school records this season — the junior also set a new school mark in the indoor 5,000 with a time of 18:43.93. …
Abi Osborne (Winthrop, Minn.) and
Laura Schommer (Hutchinson, Minn.) also recorded first-place efforts at the Lee Krough Invite — Osborne unleashed a toss of 40.40 meters in winning the javelin, while Schommer blew away the field in the 100, winning in 12.96. … Stolz and Osborne own the top performances in the steeplechase and the javelin, respectively, in the MIAC this season. …
Clare Siska (Rochester, Minn.) chipped in a second-place time of 11:59.68 in the steeplechase last Saturday. …
Maya Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) placed second in the hammer throw at the Lee Krough with a toss of 48.12 meters and eighth in the shot put (11.21 meters), while Schommer also added a third in the 400 (1:02.16). …
Katherine Mockler (Dubuque, Iowa) and
Amy Spitzmueller (New Brighton, Minn.) added fourth- and sixth-place efforts in the steeplechase, clocking times of 12:42.30 and 13:05.83, respectively, while
Tessa Scanlon (Cologne, Minn.) was sixth in the triple jump (9.39 meters) and
Allie Thiel (Burr Ridge, Ill.) was seventh in the 5,000 (19:41.36). … On the men's side last Saturday,
