ORLANDO, Fla. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's tennis team hits the road for a little outdoor tennis in Florida, as the Cardinals square off against Kings College and Morningside College during their spring trip.

The Mustangs are coming off a 12-5 season a year ago, which included a first-place finish in the GPAC and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament. … Morningside, snapped a two-match fall-opening losing streak with a 5-4 win over Ottawa, before closing out the fall with a 5-4 loss to Baker. … Three of the Mustangs' four matches in the fall were decided by 5-4 decisions—5-4 losses to Simpson and Baker, sandwiched around a 5-4 win vs. Ottawa. … Cassie Stanek heads into spring play owning singles wins in all four of the Mustangs' fall matches, while Katie Hanson and Megan Carlson are 3-1. … Stanek also owns a team-best three doubles wins. … Hanson and Kathryn Jones teams to win the No. 1 doubles title at the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Fall Doubles Tournament in late September.
