WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's tennis team steps out of conference play on Wednesday, as the Cardinals entertain UW-River Falls in a 3 p.m. nonconference match at the Winona Tennis Center.

UW-RF has not won since beating UM-Crookston 8-1 on March 26. … The Falcons' 9-0 loss to St. Norbert last Saturday marked the sixth time in their 10 losses that UW-River Falls has been swept. … Wednesday's match against Saint Mary's is the second of three matches against teams from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. UW-River Falls lost to St. Thomas 9-0 earlier this year, and still has Hamline on its schedule. … Brittany Asfeld and Karli Helland have each picked up a team-leading three singles wins, accounting for six of the Falcons' 10 dual-match singles wins. … The Falcons' five doubles wins this season have come from five different doubles combustions—with Hannah Andress a part of three of those four combinations. … The Falcons are 0-5 on their home courts, while going 0-4 on the road.
