COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University track and field teams close out the indoor portion of their 2020 season this weekend, taking part in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, hosted by Saint John's.

Men: St. Thomas scored 185 points to remain the only program in MIAC history to ever to win the conference meet. UST has now won 35 men's track and field MIAC titles. Carleton finished second in the men's standings with 105.5 points, followed closely by Saint John's in third with 103. Bethel had 98 points to finish in fourth place, with Gustavus in fifth with 68 and Hamline and Concordia tied for sixth with 53.5 points. St. Olaf finished in eighth-place with 50 points, followed by Saint Mary's with 33, Macalester with 27.5, and Augsburg with three points |

Women: St. Thomas scored 197 points to lead the women's team standings and wrap up the program's 20th straight indoor conference title. Hamline placed second with 113.5 points, followed by Carleton in third with 72.5 Bethel was right behind the Knights in fourth with 71, while Gustavus placed fifth with 59.5 points. St. Olaf logged 58 points for sixth-place, one point ahead of Concordia. Saint Benedict finished eighth with 51.5 points, followed by St. Catherine in ninth with 36 points. Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.) enters the MIAC Indoor Championships having equaled or broken seven school records already this season. … Lichttenegger broke the school mark in both the 60 (6.89) and 200 (22.19) at last Friday's Minnesota State-Mankato Maverick Invitational. His 6.89 in the 60 has him sitting eighth in the nation, while his 22.19 in the 200 is the 10th-fastest in the country this season. … Lichttenegger has also broken the school's record in the 55 (three times), the 200 (twice), and the long jump. … Lichttenegger's school-record leap of 7.32 meters in the long jump at the UW-Stout Open on Jan. 25 is currently the fourth-longest jump in NCAA Division III this season. …
Christian Beamer (Two Harbors, Minn.) has also set a new school record this season — clearing 2.02 meters in the high jump at the Luther Invitational on Feb. 8 — while the men's 4x400 relay team of
