WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's tennis team is back in action on Saturday, as the Cardinals entertain UW-Superior in a 7 p.m. nonconference match at the Winona Tennis Center.

• This weekend's matches against Saint Mary's and St. Thomas are two of three straight matches against teams from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the Yellowjackets, who also have Concordia on their schedule on Feb. 16. … UW-Superior managed just one singles win in its season-opener against UM-Duluth on Feb. 1, getting a 6-3, 6-3 win from Alison Tollas at No. 2. The Yellowjackets won just nine games in the other five singles matches, which UM-Duluth won in straight sets. … The Yellowjackets won a combined four games in their three doubles matches against UM-Duluth on Feb. 1. … UW-Superior closed out the 2019 season with an 8-9 record, including a 5-2 showing in UMAC play. … The Yellowjackets reached the UMAC Tournament semifinals for the second consecutive season, falling to second-seeded Northwestern 7-2.
