WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's tennis team steps out of conference play for a busy weekend. The Cardinals host Crown in a 6 p.m. matchup at the Winona Tennis Center on Friday, before heading to Green Bay, Wis., to face St. Norbert on Saturday and traveling to Jackson, Wis., to square off against Concordia (Wis.) on Sunday.

• Saint Mary's: Following this weekend's three nonconference matches, the Cardinals return to  action next weekend, hosting Hamline in a 5:30 p.m. conference match on Friday at the Winona Tennis Center, before hitting the road for two matches — heading to UW-River Falls for a 3 p.m. nonconference showdown against UW-River Falls on Saturday and traveling to St. Joseph, Minn., to face Saint Benedict in a 10 a.m. MIAC contest on Sunday.
• Crown: The Storm are right back in action on Saturday, returning home for UMAC contests against Northwestern (10 a.m.) and Bethany Lutheran (1 p.m.).
• St. Norbert: The Green Knights take to the road on Sunday, heading to the Life Sport Athletic Club in Racine, Wis., for a pair of matches against Wisconsin Lutheran (12:30 p.m.) and Carthage (4 p.m.).

• Crown — in just its second year as a collegiate program — heads into Friday's nonconference match against Saint Mary's still searching for its first win of the 2019 season. The Storm are mired in a six-match losing streak — with all six contests being decided by 9-0 decisions. … Crown also lost the last five matches of 2018, bringing their current losing streak to 11 straight — including 10 by 9-0 scores. … Ten of Crown's 13 matches last season were 9-0 losses, while the Storm also dropped to 6-3 decisions and beat North Central (Minn.) 6-3 for its lone win of the season. … Saint Mary's is the Storm's third opponent from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, having already dropped 9-0 decisions to both Hamline and Concordia.
