  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals' contests against Hamline and St. Olaf Friday and Saturday will be the fourth and fifth home contests of the season for SMU. Saint Mary's match at St. Thomas on Sunday is just its second road match of the year. … Saint Mary's picked up its third win of the season last Saturday, rolling to a 9-0 nonconference win over Wartburg. … Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.) ran her season-opening singles winning streak to five straight with wins against both St. Catherine and Wartburg last weekend. Becker needed three sets to beat St. Catherine's Elsa Joly, rallying from a set down to win 4-6, 6-4, 10-7. … With her five wins this season, Becker improved her career singles record to 12-2. The sophomore went 7-2 a year ago — including a season-opening five-match winning streak. … After dropping her first match of the season against Bethel, Emily Henderson (Jordan, Minn.) has rattled off four consecutive singles victories to sit one back of Becker for the team lead in singles wins. … Colleen Lois (Green Bay, Wis.) and Maggie Frye (Colorado Springs, Colo.) are both sitting third on the team with three singles wins in five matches. … Lois is the only Cardinal to play all five matches at the same position, going 3-2 at No. 1 singles. … Henderson and Natalie Peterson (St. Cloud, Minn.) recorded their first collegiate singles victories against Loras on March 6. … Henderson owns a team-best four doubles wins, one more than Frye, Lois, and Maddie Dosser (). … As a doubles team, Dosser and Henderson are a perfect 3-0. … With their 9-0 win over Wartburg on March 13, the Cardinals improved to 65-20 against nonconference opponents since 2012.
  HAMLINE PIPERS SCOUTING REPORT
The Pipers enter Friday's match against Saint Mary's still searching for their first win of the season, having dropped decisions to Wartburg (6-3) and Minnesota State-Mankato (9-0) in their first two contests this season. … With the 0-2 start, Hamline has now lost its last 10 straight — going 0-6 in 2020 before the pandemic shut down the season, and dropping its last two games of the 2019 season. The Pipers' last win was a 6-3 win over Concordia on April 14, 2019. … Hamline did not win a game in going 0-6 a year ago — dropping 7-0 decisions to Northwestern (Iowa) and MSU-Moorhead, and 9-0 setbacks to ST. Olaf, St. Thomas, Carleton, and Gustavus. … Peyton Buerman, Jersi McAlpine, and Lily Vang own HU's three singles wins this season. … Hamline is 3-9 in singles play through two matches, while still searching for their first doubles win.
  ST. OLAF OLES SCOUTING REPORT
Saturday's match against Saint Mary's is the season-opener for the Oles, who won three of their four matches a year ago, before their year was halted by COVID-19. … St. Olaf posted two 9-0 victories in 2020 — beating both Hamline and Central-Iowa. The Oles' other win was a 6-3 victory over Iowa Central CC, while their lone loss was a 7-2 loss to nationally ranked Bethel. … Greta Prokosch closed out 2020 a perfect 4-0 in singles play to lead the Oles in singles victories. Sabrina Barboza was second to Prokosch with three wins, followed by Christiana Cholakis, Katherine Ichiose, and Allie Prokosch. … Barboza played all four matches a year ago at No. 1 singles, while Allie Prokosch was the only Ole to play at No. 2 singles a year ago. … St. Olaf closed out 202 with a 16-8 record in singles play. … The Oles dominated the doubles portion of their four matches last season, compiling a 10-2 record. Greta Prokosch and Emily Otteson were 3-0 as a doubles team, while Barboza/Allie Prokosch and Teresa Fawcett/Ella Happopian were both 3-1.
  ST. THOMAS TOMMIES SCOUTING REPORT
The Tommies head into this weekend's matches against Concordia at Saint Mary's sporting a 1-3 overall record. UST, which dropped matches to three straight NCAA Division I teams to open the season — North Dakota (6-1), Nebraska-Omaha (6-1), and Creighton (7-0) — before picking up their first win of the season with a 9-0 win over St. Scholastica on March 14. … UST posted a 6-5 record in 11 matches last season, before the pandemic shut down the rest of the season. … The Tommies' eight singles wins this season have come from eight different people — Brooke Hapuku, Ashley Hatch, Monterey Knewtson, Jannah El Nemr, Katie O'Connor, Clare Palen, Olivia Paradise, and Nicole Snezhko. … Snezhko (No. 1 singles) is the only Tommie to play all four matches at the same position. … As a team, St. Thomas is 3-1 at No. 6 singles, while going 1-3 in each of the other five positions. … Snezhko and El Nemr share the team lead with two doubles wins each. … The Tommies are 4-8 in doubles play through four matches.
