• MIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS: Gearin and Gatz picked up post-season honors to lead the way for the Cardinals and the indoor season-ending MIAC Championships. Gearin landed All-MIAC honors by placing third in the pole vault with a mark of 3.30 meters, while Gatz also posted a top-5 finish, earning honorable-mention All-MIAC accolades by clearing 4.37 meters to place fourth. … Samantha Kubes (New Prague, Minn.) delivered a seventh-place throw of 11.77 meters in the women’s shot put, while teammates Morgan Wallendal (Fond du Lac, Wis.) and Sydney Jackman (Litchfield, Minn.) finished close behind with eighth- and ninth-place marks of 11.31m and 11.07m, respectively. … The Cardinal men also got eighth-place performances from Brady Johnson (Elburn, Ill. / TJ, 12.74m), Granton Schneider (Moorhead, Minn. / 1,000, 2:34.79), Chris Bulwa (Glenview, Ill. / 200, 22.69), while Bulwa also added a ninth in the 400 (51.06) | Day 1 Recap * Day 2 Recap
• RIPON/MSU MAYHEM: Schneider, Gatz, and Gearin all recorded third-place finishes to pace the Cardinals. Schneider stopped the click in 4:39.87 to finish third in the mile at the Minnesota State-Mankato Mayhem on Feb. 10, while Gearin raced to a third in the 400 (1:03.08) and Gatz cleared 4.34 meters for third in the pole vault at the Ripon Dick Hendricks Invitational the following day | Recap
• LUTHER INVITE: The Cardinals recorded 21 Top 10 finishes — including first-place efforts from Kubes, Emily Kern (Buffalo, Minn.), Bulwa, and Gatz — at the Luther Invitational on Feb. 4. Kern stopped the clock in 5:32.48 in winning the mile, while Kubes delivered tosses of 14.34 in winning the weight throw and 12.45 to place second in the shot put. On the men’s side, Gatz cleared 3.81 meters in winning the pole vault and Bulwa crossed the tape in 22.98 to take home the 200 title | Recap

OLAF INVITE: Kubes uncorked a toss of 14.21 meters to win the weight throw, and added a third-place toss of 12.97 meters in the shot put, while Kern crossed the tape with a winning time of 18:55.48 in the 5,000. The men's 4x200 — Ben Kritsberg (Rosemount, Minn.), Antonio Cisewski (Custer, Wis.), Bulwa, and Oliver Adamson (Rochester, Minn.) — meanwhile, posted a time of 1:33.34 to take home first-place honors. • UW-L INVITE: Kubes delivered a mark of 11.14 meters to place sixth in the shot put, and added a seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 13.3 meters. Kern, meanwhile, stopped the clock in 11:09.69 to place sixth in the 3,000. Wallendal chipped in 10th-place performance in the weight throw (12.65m), and Megan Frosch (Oconomowoc, Wis.) raced to a 10th in the 800 (2:44.42). On the men’s side, Gatz kicked off his season with a ninth-place showing, clearing 3.88 meters, while Bulwa stopped the clock in 51.66 to place ninth in the 400.
