Oberfoell was a dominant force for the Cardinal women's soccer team during her four-year collegiate career. With Oberfoell leading the charge, the Cardinals amassed a four-year 31-3-0 conference record, capturing four straight Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships—not to mention four NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances. Oberfoell's efforts did not go unnoticed, either, as she earned First-Team All-MIAC and All-Region honors following her junior and senior years, while also being named Third-Team All-American and Saint Mary's Outstanding Female Athlete after her senior campaign.

Oberfoell, who played in every single game during her time at Saint Mary's—a stretch of 70 consecutive games—closed out her collegiate career scoring 28 goals (eighth all-time) and adding seven assists for 63 points.
