Baseball: Played centerfield and pitched on baseball team for four years; captain of MIAC championship team, 1966, with an ERA of 1.14.

Hockey: Played defense on hockey team for four years. Major contributor to two MIAC hockey championships, 1964 and 1965; captain, 1966. … Member of the United States Olympic Hockey Team, 1968, and the United Stated National Hockey Team, 1969. … Played in the Central, American, and Western Hockey Leagues, 1970-72. … Played with the Minnesota North Stars in the 1972 Stanley Cup Playoffs. … Subsequently played with the Atlanta Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Washington Capitals, 1973-79.
